The Balanced Entrepreneur: How to Look After Yourself and Your Business
Freelancing brings freedom, but also a specific kind of pressure. An uncertain income, blurred boundaries between work and private life, the absence of a team, and being solely responsible for everything. This workshop is a space where, together, we’ll delve into how stress actually works, why it manifests differently in women, and what can be done about it: specifically, practically, and right now.
We’ll focus on recognising your own stress triggers, simple tools for mental resilience that can be used in the day-to-day running of your business, and how to maintain your mental wellbeing even during challenging times. You’ll take away specific stress-management techniques tailored to the rhythm of business life, a greater understanding of yourself, and a connection with a community of women who know this world first-hand.
Facilitator: Dita Palaščáková
Dita Palaščákováis a researcher, facilitator, coach and founder of the Navigare educational platform, which teaches people and organisations how to navigate transitions, change and uncertainty. She is the co-author of the ‘Hero’s Journey’ coaching cards and a methodology that combines storytelling, neuroscience and the psychology of change. She helps people and organisations understand that every crisis, uncertainty or ‘fuck-up’ can be the start of a new journey: if we have the courage to set out on it.
As a mum of five daughters, she juggles life between Generations X, Z and Alpha, whilst trying not to lose her mind, her sense of purpose or her Wi-Fi connection. She enjoys sharing stories – with humour and a sense of perspective – about uncertainty, setbacks and transformations which, paradoxically, have always propelled her forward. Because where the map ends, our journey begins.
