Prague, 26.8.2025 – Filuta AI has become one of the successful applicants for support in the new innovation programme of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic (MIT) to support research and applied solutions in the field of artificial intelligence TWIST. Filuta AI entered the public competition with the project “Self-service planning agents”. The aim is to extend Filuta AI’s cloud platform to provide clients with a much easier approach to controlling and using autonomous scheduling agents in their companies. Filuta AI will receive support of CZK 30 million from the TWIST programme.
“The aim of the project is to create friendlier conditions for the use of the agents we have developed directly by clients. We want to reduce the high demands on the expertise of the people who will work with our solution and enable them to use autonomous planning agents completely independently. This will dramatically improve and streamline the scalability of Filuta AI products. The outcome of the applied research of the TWIST project will be, in the case of Filuta AI, a reduction of the integration time of our solution from one to two weeks to one to two days, where the customer will do most of the integration himself, which represents an incredible competitive advantage for them,” says Filip Dvořák, founder of Filuta AI.
Autonomous planning agents can use AI to design and execute a plan of steps to achieve a specific goal on their own, without the need for precise instructions from a human. They can be used in many fields, for example, to plan production processes in the most efficient way, or in software development, where they plan the process of solving a given task.
Filuta AI collaborates with the team of Prof. Roman Barták, Ph.D. from the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics at Charles University on the development of planning agents, as well as other research and development projects. “Thanks to this cooperation, we are able to obtain patent protection for our proposed solutions and put them into practice quickly,” explains Filip Dvořák.
TWIST is a new programme of the MIT to support research, development and innovation (TWIST: Transfer, Research, Development and Innovation for Strategic Technologies). The programme explicitly aims to support the development of strategic technologies, especially artificial intelligence, quantum technologies, semiconductors and microelectronics, and to strengthen the translation of the achieved R&D results into practice. The programme will be implemented between 2025 and 2031 and foresees a total support of CZK 5 billion.
Filuta AI is a Czech technology startup that develops autonomous agents combining the use of symbolic artificial intelligence (planning) for reasoning by agents and subsymbolic artificial intelligence (machine learning, language models) for agent integration and communication. As part of the TWIST programme, Filuta AI intends to apply for the next round of public competition to develop these techniques into hierarchical learning, a key modelling approach across all areas of AI.
Filuta AI was awarded CZK 90 million in the seed investment round in June this year, and together with the TWIST grant, this will give it the opportunity to address the shortage of AI experts as part of its successful project. By applying AI to the actual process of integrating AI into company processes, the complexity of AI integration will be reduced, which will also reduce the need for scarce AI experts. “Our main goal is to maximize customer and client satisfaction and set the company’s growth,” adds Filip Dvořák.
About Filuta AI
Filuta AI is a Czech technology startup with dynamic growth, founded in 2022. The company consists of several dozen academics and experts working in the field of research and practical application of artificial intelligence. Filuta AI focuses on intelligent automation using composite artificial intelligence. The company has created its own composite AI platform that offers efficient solutions to real-world problems, now primarily focusing on fully autonomous agent systems in simulations. The founding team, led by Filip Dvorak, has experience in AI departments at Google and Microsoft, working in academia (Stanford, Charles University) and at US government agencies and research centers (DARPA, PARC).
